Nonformal Education known as the Adult and Community Education (ACE) is an instrument of eradicating illiteracy. It becomes an agent of people’s empowerment and transformation process geared towards poverty alleviation as well as improvement of the quality of life. The program intends to equip adult educators and related practitioners with necessary skills in the management and delivery of equal access to the basic educational services to the masses. Nonformal or Alternative Learning System (ALS) educators will be oriented with the alternative modes and andragogical strategies essential for adult and community education.
