Doctor of Philosophy in Language Education was crafter and offered as a graduate program of the Department of English Language, College of Arts and Humanities vertically articulated with that of MA ESL/MA English/MA Language Educ/MA Communication and other MA programs related to Language Education by virtue of BOR No. 409, S. 1991. The PhD Language Education by Research program aims to hone further the research skills of the students, acquired mostly through experience under the professional guidance of specialist(s) in particular areas of specialization.
