The BSU-Open University (BSU-OU) continuously enhances the proficiency of its faculty members and students in using the Learning Management System (LMS) through a series of reorientations and training sessions. This initiative aims to advance the delivery of learning and maximize the use of technology, particularly within the Open, Distance, and eLearning (ODeL) framework.
Training and tutorial sessions are consistently held every Saturday at the Open University, serving as a regular opportunity for faculty and students to advance their LMS skills and knowledge of its application. These sessions accommodate walk-in participants and provide clarifications, ensuring continuous support and development.
Building on this regular schedule, formal training sessions commenced on July 31, 2025, during the Faculty Retooling Workshop and continued through the Student Orientation held on August 16, 2025, both facilitated by BSU-OU. These programs introduced and reoriented students and faculty members to the LMS, offering interactive tutorials that effectively guided participants in accessing and navigating their accounts.
This forward-looking initiative aligns with the institutionโs commitment to advancing United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructureโboth promoting equitable and inclusive education through technological innovation.
